Jeannette Cormier (91) of Lady Lake FL., passed away on October 16, 2025 at Lady Lake Specialty Care.
Jeannette loved her community of 32 years involving herself in various clubs and the ministry of ST. Timothy’s church and being involved with the efforts to raise money for the new church. She loved playing bingo, going to music, playing cards with family and friends and loved her crafts, always creating fun and playful pictures and household items. Jeannette was born in Dieppe, New Brunswick, Canada, to Zenon Melanson and Emma Cormier.
She married Ronald Cormier in 1960 in New Brunswick Canada and moved to Connecticut with her new husband.
Jeannette is predeceased in death by her brothers Raymond and Paul Melanson, sisters Lena Leudee, Irene Melanson and Doris LaLonde. Jeannette is survived by her husband of 65 years Ronald Cormier, children Daniel and Tracy Cormier, Elizabeth and Scott Boggis, Theresa and Patrick Murphy, grandchildren Andrew and Roanne DeScisciolo, Cole and Paige Boggis, Tucker and Roger Cormier, great grandchildren Zachary and Lily DeScisciolo and sister Lorette Lavigne.
Visitation will be Monday October 20,2025 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 3975 Wedgewood Lane, the villages from 2-4 pm. Funeral services will be held 8:30 a.m. Tuesday October 21,2025 at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church In the villages. At a later time following cremation, she will have a final resting place at Bushnell Cemetery.
