A homeowner has been ordered to clean up junk at her property in The Villages.
The property at 1018 Nell Way on the Historic Side of The Villages was the subject of a hearing Monday before a special hearing master at the District Office at Brownwood.
The manufactured home which dates back to 1974 is owned by the Diane Salutare. On July 10 a complaint was lodged with Community Standards about overgrown grass and weeds as well miscellaneous debris in the yard.
Community Standards had not been able to reach the homeowner, even though letters had been sent by regular mail and certified mail. Staff was finally able to reach Salutare on Oct. 14 and provided detailed instructions about what needed to be done to bring the property into compliance.
She did not appear at Monday’s hearing and the home remains out of compliance.
She was given five days to clean up the property. If she fails to do so, a series of fines will be imposed.
