Amy E. Bosela, 62, of The Villages, Florida, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. after bravely fighting cancer.
Amy was born on September 3, 1963, in Columbus, Ohio, and was the daughter of Gerald (Jerry) and Elizabeth (Betty) (Schaeper) Miller. She earned her degree in Occupational Therapy from Western Michigan University and dedicated her career to helping others as an Occupational Therapist at Sherman Hospital, Elgin, IL and later at OSMC Elkhart, IN before retiring in 2020 to The Villages, Florida.
Amy embraced an active and social lifestyle in her retirement. She enjoyed meeting new friends and engaging in a lot of activities including playing cards, bocce ball, shuffleboard and trips to the dog park with Mysti. Amy was an avid reader all her life just like her father. Some of her favorite times were visiting family and friends in Michigan.
On August 8, 1987, Amy married Michael T. Bosela in Naperville, IL. Mike and Amy enjoyed many great years in Naperville, Lake in the Hills and Shavehead Lake in Michigan.
Survivors include her mother, Elizabeth; her brother Alan (Pam) Miller; and her nieces, Nicole (Marc) Fasshauer, Kayla (Iker) Tomas-Miller, and Jordan Miller. Other survivors include her Aunt Janet Schaeper, many cousins, sister-in-law, Barbara (Christopher) Hand, nephews, John David Peet, Jason (Natalie) Peet, and Justin Peet; and her great-niece and nephew, Kailey Peet and Jayden Peet.
Amy was preceded in death by her father, Jerry, and her husband, Mike.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am at Immanuel Lutheran Church, East Dundee, IL on December 20, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation from 10 am until the time of service. In addition, a celebration of life will take place on November 4, 2025 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at River Bend Recreation Center of Monarch Grove, The Villages, FL.
