In Loving Memory of Jack R. Donaldson 09/22/1939 – 10/28/2025 It is with deep sorrow that our family announces the passing of Jack R. Donaldson, who departed this life on October 28, 2025, at the age of 86.

Jack was a beloved father, spouse, grandfather, uncle, and friend to many, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Throughout his life, Jack’s Christian faith served as his guiding light and shaped the way he lived each day. Jack R. Donaldson was a devoted family man, a cherished friend, and an active member of his community. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith left a lasting impact on everyone he met. Jack’s legacy of service, compassion, and his renowned gift of conversation will be fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched.

Jack is survived by his daughter, Deborah, and her fiancé, Sean Murphy; his grandson, Frank Furlo; his granddaughter, Alexandra, and her husband, Thomas Boisclair; his niece, Laura, and her husband, Vincenzo DiPrizio; his great-niece, Brittany, and her partner, Tyler Heck; his great-nephew, Robert, and his fiancé, Kassandra; and his dear friend, Margie Quinto.

He is predeceased by his beloved wife of over 50 years, Shirley Ann; his parents, Jack and Hazel Donaldson; his sister, Joyce Thompson and niece Linda; and his brother, Richard. Jack leaves behind many close friends from his years at the First Baptist Church of Arlington, MA, The Chapel of Christian Faith in Lady Lake, FL, and the Rotary International organizations, all of which held a special place in his heart.

Jack’s love for his community was perhaps most beautifully expressed through his devotion to the Uncle Sam Statue in Arlington, Massachusetts. For years, Jack and the Jaycee team worked tirelessly on that project, believing deeply in what it would mean for neighbors and for future generations. And that statue now stands as a lasting symbol. Interment will be private at Bushnell, Florida National Cemetery. We take comfort in the love and memories we shared and will carry Jack-Dad, Poppy, and UJ-in our hearts forever.
