Carmela Ann Wilkinson, 89 of New Haven Ct., passed away quietly on November 13, 2025 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.
Carmela was born to parents Carmine and Marcia Bracale. She graduated from Wilbur Cross High School and after raising her boys, went back to work and built a career as a banker, eventually becoming a Vice President at Wells Fargo bank. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, known for her kindness, generosity, and love of cooking.
Carmela is survived by her sons Keith (Orlando,Fl) and John (Biddeford, Maine), John’s wife Liza Rigsbee-Wilkinson, her 3 grandchildren Alex, Max and Emma Wilkinson, and her brother Joseph Bracale. She was preceded in death by her husband John, her parents, and her brother George.
A visitation will be held at Beyers Funeral Home, 134 North US Highway 441, Lady Lake, Fl 32159 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on November 18, 2025. A funeral Mass to celebrate Carmela’s life will be held on November 19th at 10 am at St. Mark The Evangelist Catholic Church of Summerfield. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer’s research.
