Michael Paul Stanul, age 71, of The Villages, Florida passed away peacefully on Monday, October 20, 2025, at his residence in The Villages of Florida.

Michael was born and raised in Bayonee, NJ, to the late Walter and Mary Staul.

Michael is predeceased by his brother Joe Stanul, and is survived by his wife of 44 years Maureen Stanul (McCole), his daughter and son-in-law Jenna and Jeffrey Tangowski of Matawan, NJ, his sisters Alexandra “Sandy” Elias of The Villages, FL, Mary Elias of Letart, West Virginia, Kathy Roszkowski of Bayonee, NJ, and Lori Chonko of Hazlet, NJ, his in-laws Karen and Doug Garrett of Spring Lake, NJ, Margaret and Chris Gallagher of Nazareth, PA and Cathy and John Schaefer of Colts Neck, NJ. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews that will carry on memories.

Michael was employed by the Jersey City Post Office for 44 years, until he entered his well-deserved chapter of retirement. He then moved from his residence of 34 years in Rahway, NJ to the Villages of Florida where he would enjoy the retirement lifestyle filled with warmer days. Michael found enjoyment playing pool with his best friend Jay at the Villages pool club, watching the Yankees, and driving his golf cart to various events like trivia night. Michael also enjoyed trips to Atlantic City for blackjack, trips to West Virginia to visit family, loved trips to the jersey shore with his wife, and was a master of making delicious potato pancakes, a recipe we all wish we knew!

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on November 22, 2025, at 9:30am at St. Clement Parish, 172 Freneau Ave, Matawan, NJ 07747. Cremation was private under the direction of The National Cremation Society at The Villages in Florida.
