Mrs. Suzette Mullins Katrishen, 77, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025, in The Villages, Florida, surrounded by her children. She faced a brief but courageous battle with cancer, meeting it with grace and quiet strength.
Born on October 17, 1948, in Mobile, Alabama, Suzette was the daughter of Clarence Haddon Mullins Jr. and Frances Morrison Mullins. She was raised in Mountain Brook, Alabama, and later returned to Mobile after attending Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida.
In 1971, Suzette met William “Bill” Katrishen, and they were married in the summer of 1972. She pursued a nursing degree from Mobile College and dedicated nearly four decades to her career as a registered nurse.
After retiring in 2003, Suzette moved to The Villages, Florida, where she spent her remaining years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Katrishen; her parents Clarence and Frances Mullins; and her brother Robert Mullins.
Suzette is survived by her two children: William “Billy” Katrishen Jr. of The Villages, Florida, and Suzette “Suzy” Katrishen Allen of Lake Dallas, Texas; three grandchildren: Robert Winston Allen III, William Katrishen Allen, and Claire Ruby Allen; and three brothers: Clarence Haddon Mullins III, David Michael Mullins, and John Stephen Mullins.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Suzette’s memory to organizations supporting cancer research: the American Cancer Society, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, or the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
