Patricia Mary Jean Sowell, 72, a resident of Oxford, Florida, and formerly of Green Bay, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully at home following a long illness.

Born on February 27, 1953, in Appleton, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of the late James F. Campbell Sr. and Janice Claire (Miller) Campbell. She was united in marriage to Charles Sowell, who, along with her parents, preceded her in death. The couple had no children. Patricia graduated from Green Bay West High School before earning a degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

She spent 50 years working in finance starting in the payroll department at Cherry Creek School district in Colorado with the bulk of her career in finance and sales at Jim Beam Brands in Northbrook, Illinois. She was active in her Church as a reader of the Word, an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion and Coordinator of the St. Norbert Eucharistic Adoration Ministry. Her   She loved to travel. Two highlights of her travels were taking her godson to Africa and her Dad to Ireland and Scotland.

A woman who was deeply loved and cherished, Patricia’s memory will be carried on by her devoted family and a wide circle of friends. She is survived by her siblings: Mary Goeden (Gerald), Nancy Folz (Dennis), James F. Campbell Jr. (Debbie), Kevin Campbell, Bridget Lehmann (James), Timothy Reed (Lynn) and Robert Campbell (Roberta). She is further survived by her nieces and nephews along with grandnieces and grand nephews, cousins and second cousins.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, Summerfield, Florida on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at 10 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church for the Adoration Chapel in memory of Patricia Sowell.
