
It is with sadness we announce the passing of Carol J. Lundin on 11/20/2025 in The Villages FL. Born in 1928 Carol was a cherished member of our community, a beloved family member, and a dear friend to many.
Carol grew up in Spencertown NY and graduated from Chatham High school. She married George A Lundin Jr in1951 and they lived many years in Otego NY spending winters in Wildwood FL. Carol enjoyed her career in the grocery business in Hudson NY , Chenango Bridge NY, and at the Grand Union in Oneonta NY.
Carol is survived by daughter Carol Sue (John) Gavin, son George (Robin Stykel), grandsons Patrick (Megan) Gavin, Joe (Mia) Gavin, Daniel Gavin; Tim (Allison) Lundin, Eric (Maggie) Lundin, Jeff (Marcia) Lundin. Great grandchildren Avery, Sophie, Ellie, Jane, Henry, Edith Lundin and Everly and Grey Gavin. Carol is survived by many nephews and nieces. Carol was predeceased by her husband George Lundin Jr, daughter in law Suzanne Zdimal Lundin and great grandson Robert George Lundin.
A memorial service will be held in the summer of 2026 at the Evergreen Cemetery in Otego NY, details to follow. The family kindly requests donations to The Wildwood Food Kitchen, Wildwood FL or the Otego Presbyterian Church NY in Carol’s honor.
Known for her kindness and generosity, Carol (Nonny, Non) touched the lives of everyone she met. Whether volunteering at the Wildwood FL Food Kitchen for 27 yrs or supporting friends in times of need, hiking with the ADK club, providing weekly flowers to the alter, or sharing laughter with family and friends, Carol’s spirit will be remembered and cherished she will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. We love you, a bushel and a peck.
