A Belleview woman was arrested after refusing to leave her former residence where she fought with her boyfriend.

The owner of the property at 3500 N U.S. Hwy. 301 called the police to have 28-year-old Kristen Marion Yarrington trespassed from the property around 6:55 p.m. Wednesday according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. She used to live at the residence but had vacated the property on Monday, Nov. 24, after a domestic dispute with her boyfriend. She returned just prior to the owner contacting law enforcement and refused to leave.

Once at the property, the officer spoke to Yarrington and her boyfriend who were involved in an argument over civil issues, such as property ownership and child custody. She had been driven to the area by her friend with whom she now lived with in Summerfield. She stated she came back that day because she wanted to pick up some things which she believed to be hers. She claimed her boyfriend texted her and told her to come get them, but she could not provide a copy of the message, the report said.

Her friend later advised that Yarrington and her child were currently living with her in Summerfield. She agreed to bring her to the property due to thinking she was picking up some things from the location, the report said.

However, the boyfriend explained Yarrington vacated the property earlier in the week following a domestic dispute that had been reported to law enforcement. He denied inviting her to the property to pick up anything. The owner confirmed the boyfriend lived at and was allowed on the property, but he wanted Yarrington trespassed and removed immediately, the report said.

The officer told Yarrington that she needed to leave due to the property owner having her trespassed, but she stated she was going to grab her things first. She then turned from him and started walking toward an RV parked on the property. The officer told her loud and clear to stop, yet she ignored him to continue walking toward the RV, the report said.

She was ordered several times to stop and again ignored the officer. He quickly followed behind her and had to physically stop her from getting to the RV. She was subsequently detained in handcuffs, the report said.

Yarrington was arrested on charge of obstruct without violence and transported to the Sumter County Detention Center. The Maryland native was released after posting $250 bond.
