A Kentucky woman was arrested on drug charges after admitting to having cocaine in her purse during a traffic stop at Circle K.
A deputy stopped 60-year-old Traci Ann Bargeron in a silver Ford Fusion at 6:10 p.m. Wednesday, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. The vehicle had no front bumper, so he pulled her over at Circle K, located at 2155 CR 48, Bushnell.

Once back up arrived, they walked a K-9 around the vehicle to check for drugs. It positively alerted to the smell of narcotics, leading to a search of the vehicle. Bargeron subsequently admitted to cocaine in her purse, the report said.
Deputies also found a pill bottle with Bargeron’s name on it in the center console, and it contained two buds of marijuana. Her purse, which had been in her lap, had a clear plastic baggie of cocaine. Both narcotics were weighed and came out to 0.3 grams and 0.4 grams, respectively, the report said.
Bargeron was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana (less than 20 grams), cocaine and drug paraphernalia. She was transported to the Sumter County Detention Center with bond set at $3,500.
