A Sumter County man has claimed over $26,000 in prize money from a lottery ticket that he purchased at a local convenience store.
Mitchell Scott Lefave claimed the $26,731.69 prize from a Fantasy 5 lottery ticket that he purchased at the S & V Food Center. The convenience store is located at 110 N Main Street, in Bushnell.

Lefave, who purchased the ticket through a QuickPick, was one of two individuals who split the top prize for the midday drawing of the Fantasy 5 on Nov. 23.
The other winner, a woman from Mobile, Alabama, purchased her winning ticket from an airport in Pensacola.
The winning numbers for the Nov. 23 midday drawing were 3, 9, 15, 16, and 17. In addition to the two winners, 96 other individuals matched four of the numbers, earning $89.50.
Just a week before Lefave won his prize, a Villager claimed nearly $120,000 from a Fantasy 5 ticket that she purchased at the Trailwinds Village in Wildwood on Nov. 15.
The Florida Lottery Fantasy 5 is drawn daily at 1:05 p.m. and 11:15 p.m. Tickets may be purchased until 20 minutes before each drawing (i.e., 12:45 p.m. and 10:55 p.m., respectively).
