The Indiana native was originally arrested on Aug. 28 after a K-9 alerted on the gray Chrysler 300 he was driving in the area of State Road 44 and County Road 470 in Wildwood, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

During a search of the vehicle, a deputy found two rolled marijuana cigarettes tucked in a pack of cigarettes. A vaping device was also found in the car and the device contained a gold liquid which tested positive for THC.

A computer check revealed that Richey did not have a valid license. He has 13 driver’s license sanctions from Indiana and one driver’s license sanction from Kentucky. He has been convicted of driving while license revoked in May of this year, once in 2024 and once in 2004.
