An Orlando woman was arrested after allegedly hitting her ex-boyfriend with a wine bottle and slashing his tires at The Quarters Apartments in Lady Lake.
An officer was patrolling The Quarters Apartments complex when he discovered 34-year-old Molendi Severe making a commotion in one of the buildings around 6:20 a.m. Sunday, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. He heard her yell, “After seven years, this is what you’re going to do,” followed by seeing her come down the stairs behind her ex-boyfriend.

The latter stated he came to the apartments to meet up with a friend for a date. When he left her residence, he saw Severe. He ran to his car and tried to leave, but both driver’s side tires were flat. He wanted to call the police, so he went back to his friend’s apartment to get his phone, the report said.
The ex-boyfriend made it to the apartment only for Severe to follow him inside. She then picked up a glass wine bottle and hit him multiple times on the back and arms, leaving a white mark on the inside of his right forearm. He also said she admitted to slashing his tires, the report said.
As for Severe, she advised that she had put a tracker on the ex-boyfriends phone due to suspected infidelity. Once she found the apartment he was visiting, she confronted him at the door. He then punched her in the face above her left eye. She armed herself with the wine bottle and hit him back in self-defense, the report said.
She claimed to have not “even hit him that hard with the bottle.” She also stated she only hit him with it because he hit her first. A closer look at her left eye revealed a scar but no redness or swelling to indicate she had been struck, the report said.
The ex-boyfriend’s friend later stated she was not sure which person struck the other first, but Severe told her that she slashed the ex-boyfriend’s tires. She did not see the altercation in its entirety but did observe Severe hit the ex-boyfriend on the back. She was unsure if the strike was with an open hand, closed fist or a glass bottle, the report said.
An inspection of the ex-boyfriend’s vehicle revealed small punctures on the front and rear tires of the driver’s side, which were valued at $460.25. There was no object on Severe that was consistent with these punctures, though. She did admit to previously slashing his tires on a separate occasion, the report said.
Severe was subsequently arrested on charges of battery and criminal mischief (damage property $200-$1,000). She was transported to Lake County Jail and released after posting $2,000 bond.
