Wayne Oestreich of The Villages earned his wings on November 27, 2025.
He passed very peacefully at cornerstone hospice house of The villages with his daughter by his side.
Ben was born in Toledo Ohio, where he spent the first half of life. He graduated from Libbey high school 1955. Served for two years in the United States Army from 1958 to 1960.
Married his beautiful wife Carol in 1965 had two beautiful children and enjoyed a 44 year career with Norfolk Southern railroad company as An engineer. After retirement, he headed south to the villages of Lady Lake, where his two best friends, George and Jim were waiting for him. They built the same year and Ben was the middle villa the anchor of their friendship.
He enjoyed 20 good years of retirement, bowling, golfing, playing softball with five guys on his team from his graduating class from high school. He found a second wonderful family with his badminton crew and had the patience to teach many team members the sport especially a feisty redhead named Ruthee. Ben was a very kind hearted and generous man who will be deeply missed by many.
Ben is survived by his son Keith(Susan) Daughter Kimberly(Tinker Bell & Itty-bitty) Sister Judy(Ken) 4 Grandchildren, Autumn, Abby, Faith, Gia.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Dorotha His wife, Carol, and sister Betty
Ben has chosen to not have a service. He would like any donations be made in the charity of one’s choice.
