Bids due this week for construction of new Publix at Middleton

Bids are due this week for the construction of a new Publix grocery store at Middleton.

The 52,100-square-foot grocery store is expected to open in early 2027 in the family section of The Villages near The Villages Charter School.

ABI Companies Inc., the construction company overseeing the $9 million project, is seeking bids from subcontractors. The bids are due this Wednesday.

The project is expected to begin next month.
