Linares Telles told the deputy he did not have a driver’s license when asked, instead handing over a Mexican ID card. A check of his information confirmed he had no license, nor had he ever been issued one. However, he stated he currently worked as a roofer, the report said.

The native of Mexico was arrested on charge of operate motor vehicle without valid license and issued a warning for the stop sign violation. He was transported to the Sumter County Detention Center and released after posting $150 bond.
