A woman who came home drunk was arrested after an altercation in The Villages.
Sumter County sheriff’s deputies were called shortly before 10 p.m. Monday to a home in the Village of Belvedere after an altercation between 40-year-old Jessica Anne Delima and a male occupant of the home, according to an arrest report.
Delima “came home drunk” and “immediately began picking a fight” with the man, the report said. Due to a “recent escalation in violence,” he began recording her with his cell phone. She responded by attempting to “slap the phone out of his hand.” When she was unsuccessful, she took the cap off a bottle of water and threw the water in the man’s face. The man announced he was calling law enforcement.
Delima was arrested on a charge of battery. She was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $500 bond.
