U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement placed a hold on a Guatemalan man who was caught driving without a license.
A deputy stopped 22-year-old Allan De Jesus Gabriel Molina at North Florida Street and Main Street in Bushnell around 7:10 p.m. Friday, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. He had been traveling in a blue Ford SUV without headlights after sunset.
Gabriel Molina then advised that he did not have a driver’s license and had only a Guatemalan ID card. A check of his driving history confirmed he had never been issued a license in all 50 states, the report said.
He was subsequently arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle without a valid license and given a written warning for the headlight violation. He was transported to the Sumter County Detention Center where bond was set at $150 and ICE put a hold on him.
