Diane Kay Knipp, 83, of The Villages, FL, born in Mascoutah, IL on July 24, 1942, passed peacefully on January 22, 2026 at Watercrest Buena Vista, The Villages, FL.

Diane graduated from Mascoutah High School, was a homemaker and retired from Edward Jones as a Business Office Assistant. She was previously a member of The Order of the Eastern Star, a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Mascoutah, IL.

Diane is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Theda, nee Brower, Knipp; her brother, Paul Knipp.

She is survived by her son, Van (Shelia) Roehrig; her daughter, Debra Roehrig; grandchildren Rachael (Michael) Bush, Jason, Matthew and Alison Roehrig; Molly Taylor; great-grandchildren, Bradley and Lexi Bush; Trey, Zion and Indie Harris.

The family would like to thank the staff at Brightly Senior Living in Mascoutah for taking such wonderful care of her while she was a resident there. A debt of gratitude is also owed to her nurses – Taylor, Jill, Melissa, & Zion – and her aids at Watercrest Buena Vista for caring for her as if she were family. Mom loved all of you, and it showed by how happy she was.

Diane was cared for at the end of her life by Cornerstone Hospice of The Villages, FL who did such a wonderful job keeping her comfortable and well taken care of. A special thank you to Lisa Graham and Gay Arnold for visiting her, helping with her care when needed, and the love you showed her.

Finally, a thank you to Jeanette Surmeier for calling these past 3 years to get updates on Mom and listen to her stories about how she kept everyone on their toes in memory care.
