Jeffery Gunn, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026 at The Birches of the Lehigh Valley. Born on July 24, 1941 in upstate New York to Frank and Alice Gunn. Jeff lived a rich and vibrant life filled with love, family, adventure, and a passion for sports

For 62 years, Jeff shared an enduring partnership with his beloved wife, Carolyn. Together, they raised three children-Stacy, Geoffrey, and Glenn-in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The couple created cherished memories at their summer home on Lake Ontario and, after retirement, embraced the snowbird lifestyle, spending winters in The Villages, Florida. In recent years, they returned to the Lehigh Valley to be closer to their roots and family.

Jeff and Carolyn loved to travel, explore the globe together and marveled at lighthouses, forts, beaches, and historical sites. Their adventures were always shared, strengthening their lifelong bond.

A true sports enthusiast, Jeff was an accomplished golfer, a dedicated Yankees fan, and a standout in fantasy football. He ran the family betting pools and coached his sons’ baseball teams. He took great joy in attending and cheering at his sons’ and granddaughters’ games and matches.

Professionally, Jeff had a successful career as an electrical engineer at Bell Labs (which later became AT&T and Lucent), where he advanced to the role of department head.

Above all, Jeff’s heart belonged to his family. His love touched his wife, his three children, four granddaughters, and two great-grandsons in profound and lasting ways.

Jeff is survived by his children, Stacy (married to Jack Tague), Geoffrey, and Glenn (with Kim Calvosa); his granddaughters, Lauren Miller (married to Justin), Haley (engaged to Roger), Michele (engaged to Alec), and Regan (with Ryan); and his great-grandsons, Calvin and Radley Miller. He also leaves behind his brothers, Roger, Steve, and Dan.

He was predeceased by his wife, Carolyn, and his parents, Frank and Alice.

Jeff’s legacy is one of unwavering love, a life well-lived, and memories that will be forever cherished by all who knew him.
