Rolanda Bissonnette Pelkey, lovingly known as Roe, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 20, 2026.
She leaves behind her daughter and son-in-law, Nicole and Jim Picciotto of Cotuit, and her two beloved grandchildren, Alyse and Nicholas. Roe was the loving wife of the late Roderick (Rod) Pelkey, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and partnership.
Originally from Norwich, CT, Roe moved to Cape Cod, MA, with her family in 1979. A dedicated and proud middle school English teacher, she inspired countless students throughout her career.
After retiring, Roe and Rod settled in The Villages, FL, where she enjoyed spending time with her neighborhood friends, reading, and doting on her rescue dog, Jackson. She will be remembered for her warmth, humor, and the love she brought to all who knew her.
