A native of Mexico was arrested for driving without a license after being stopped with a broken tail light.
A deputy spotted a white Chevy utility car with a broken driver’s side tailight headed east on State Road 44 in Wildwood at 6:15 p.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. He proceeded to stop the driver, 50-year-old Medardo Aguilar Castillo, near Industrial Drive.

Castillo then advised that he did not have a driver’s license or a passport. A check of his driving history confirmed he did not have a license out of any state, the report said.
He was subsequently arrested on charge of operate motor vehicle without valid license and given a traffic warning for the broken tailight. He was transported to the Sumter County Detention Center and released after posting $150 bond.
