Born on March 11th 1945 in New York, Donna later made her home in Lady Lake, Florida, where she built a life rooted in hard work, love, and devotion to family.
Donna is survived by her longtime partner, Bobby Casteel; her daughters, Sherry and Veron (Goney), Wendy and Jarrod (Dukes) & Suzanne and George (Atkins); her son, Jammie and Melanie (Stevens); ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; her beloved pup, Gator; and an extended family & friends who meant the world to her.
She spent many years working at Mom and Dad’s Italian Restaurant in Lady Lake and most recently retired after running her own cleaning business. Donna’s independence and strong work ethic were a true testament to the woman she was.
Donna had a deep love for animals and found peace and joy in caring for her plants. She was especially known for her love of Christmas. Her home-filled with nearly one hundred Christmas trees-became a cherished gathering place for family, where her decorations and lights brought warmth, joy, and togetherness to all who entered.
Strong-minded and strong-willed, yet with a heart full of love, Donna cherished her family deeply. She will be dearly missed and forever loved by all who knew her. Though she is no longer with us, Donna’s light, love, and unforgettable Christmas spirit will forever glow in the hearts of her family.
