Joan Hewett Werdebaugh, 89, of Summerfield, Florida passed away on February 2, 2026. Joan was widow to James “Stoney” Werdebaugh.
She was born August 18, 1936 in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia to the late Clarence and Nettie Hewett. Joan is survived by her two sons, Ben and Randy Vaughn, two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one sister.
A service will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Florida National Cemetery (Bushnell) where Joan will be inurned together with Stoney who was a veteran of the United States Army.
The family wishes to express appreciation to Joan’s sisters-in-law, Betty, Frieda and Georgia for their loving support during great times and times of great need.
