Robert Noel, 86, formerly of Nashua, NH, and The Villages, FL, died peacefully January 13, 2026, after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Nashua and graduated from Nashua High School in 1957. He served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves and later attended Bentley College. Robert spent twenty-eight years working at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua and also served for twenty-eight years as a Bail Commissioner in the Nashua District Court system.
He was predeceased by his wife, Elaine C. Cassista. Family members include his children, Janice Noel Dall and husband Jamie; Stephen Noel; and Gary Noel and wife Emily Spiegelman-Noel; grandson Oliver Lee Noel; and sisters Conni Bernier and Helen Dumont. He was also predeceased by his parents, Maurice and Olivette Noel, and his brothers, Maurice and Arthur Noel.
Robert enjoyed camping, traveling, golf, cribbage, poker, and candlepin bowling. Robert had the rare gift of making people feel welcome, turning strangers into friends with kindness and good humor.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated May 4, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Parish, Nashua. Burial will follow at St. Louis Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
