She is survived by her loving and caring husband Danny of 57 years and cherished sons Michael (Laura) and Steven (JoMarie) and Johnny (Amy). Dear sister of Dianna (1999) & John Bodyk, Nicholas (2006) & Antonia, William & June, Michael (1993) & Marylin, baby brother John & Denise. In addition, she was adored and loved by all her nieces and nephews.

Juanita graduated from the Metropolitan (Hospital) School of Nursing and she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of Windsor. A dedicated nurse, she really enjoyed taking care of children at the Children’s Hospital in Detroit. Later, she advanced to be a supervisor of ambulatory surgery. Juanita loved serving the community and participating in scouting with her sons, making homemade Halloween costumes and ensuring a home cooked meal was always on the table. She was a board member of the Ole Clippert Scholarship committee. Her love of bowling led her to create the famous 12 game bowling marathon at the Clawson Troy Elks club. She organized various fundraisers and coordinated numerous family and friend winter get-away trips.

Juanita and Danny were active parishioners of St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Church in Warren, Michigan and St. Timothy Catholic Church in Lady Lake, Florida.

In 2013, she and her husband moved south to sunny Florida where every day was a “beautiful day in the The Villages”. They were both avid golfers and enjoyed playing league shuffleboard and bocce ball. In her later years at The Villages, she enjoyed euchre night on Tuesdays and she organized bunco nights.

She will be forever loved and missed!
