Sonya Louise Todd, 87, passed away in Sumterville, Florida on February 21, 2026. She was born in San Diego, California on March 24, 1938, to Harley Verne Evans and Grace Bertha Orloff.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bushnell, Florida for 26 years. She was a very giving and gracious woman of faith. She enjoyed reading, making jewelry, and doing crafts. Most of all, she loved her husband and family.
She is survived by her son: Charles “Chuck” Todd (Cheryl) of Alachua, FL; Daughter: Lisa Montuoro (Robert “Bob”) of Vero Beach, FL; Grandchildren; Brad Todd (Laura) of Oxford, FL, Emily Calhoun (John) of Vero Beach, FL, Todd Montuoro of Tallahassee, FL; Great Grandchildren: Lana, Lissa, Jackson, Caroline, and Landon. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles C. Todd, her brother, Ross Evans, and parents, Harley and Grace Evans.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, 28, 2026 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. with the service starting at 12 p.m. at Purcell Chapel with Pastor Steve Webster officiating. Interment will follow to Center Hill Cemetery.
