Congressman Randy Fine took to the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives on Wednesday to challenge Democrats after “another Muslim terrorist killed innocent Americans in Texas” over the weekend.
The attack “hit close to home,” said Fine, a Melbourne Republican whose district includes parts of Marion and Lake County, including the Historic Side of The Villages, the Marion County section of The Villages and Stonecrest.
Fine said he was alerted to a comment on his X page by Laura Loomer highlighting a message the suspect sent to the Congressman just months earlier.

“This direct communication from a terrorist should serve as a wake-up call to those who still refuse to acknowledge that Muslim terror remains a serious threat in America,” said Fine, who was elected this past year in a special election.
Ndiaga Diagne, was wearing a hoodie emblazoned with the words “Property of Allah,” when he killed three people in Austin, Texas. U.S. officials say Diagne was a Senegalese-born immigrant who came to the U.S. in 2000 on a tourist visa, got a green card in 2006 after marrying a U.S. citizen and became an American citizen in 2013. He was killed by police after his violent rampage in Austin.
This past October, Diagne posted a message on Fine’s X page.

“For years, we’ve heard leftists claim that diversity is our greatest strength, and that couldn’t be further from the truth. How many more Americans must die at the hands of these monsters before we take Muslim terror seriously? We must defend our people, our values, and our way of life against those who seek to destroy it,” Fine said.
Fine added that he will continue to work with his colleagues “on the Sharia Free-America Caucus to stop the Islamification of America before it’s too late.”
