An Ohio man with a history of violence was arrested after allegedly head butting a a 70-year-old man at a home in The Villages.
Jason Robert Eicher, 39, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of battery.
Eicher, whose parents reside in the Village of Rio Ponderosa, had been involved in an altercation with a 70-year-old man in the garage of a home in The Villages, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. The address of the home was redacted from the arrest report.
Eicher head butted the man, leaving him with an injury to his left ear, the report said.
Eicher was tracked down four days after the incident and taken into custody. Deputies found that he had previously been convicted of domestic violence in Ohio.
Eicher was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $100 bond.
