PWAC considers spending $4.9 million to renovate three golf courses

The Project Wide Advisory Committee is considering spending $4.9 million to renovate three golf courses in The Villages.

PWAC will meet to consider the bid from Landirr Inc. for the full renovation of three executive golf courses – Roosevelt, Turtle Mound and Redfish Run. PWAC will meet at 8:30 a.m. Monday at SeaBreeze Recreation Center.

The renovations will include:

• Reconstruction of greens, tees, and fairways

• Full-course re-grassing

• Installation of Certified TifEagle Bermuda grass

• Extensive earthwork and re-grading

• Irrigation modernization, including IC control conversion, maxi-wire, swing joints, and rotor heads

• Drainage basin restoration and installation of new greens loops
