Edward Floyd White passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 5, 2026.
He was born August 5, 1927 in Hudson Falls, NY to Floyd C. White and Jennie E. Perry Purdy.

Ed graduated from Hudson Falls High School after serving in the US Army during WWII. He then went on to graduate from The NYS Agricultural & Technical Institute in Canton, NY.

Ed retired from Environment One in Niskayuna, NY in 1989 and then he and his wife moved to Florida to live out their retirement years. They enjoyed traveling across the country and going on cruises with friends and family.

He was a member of the American Legion in Bradenton, FL and was a past member of
The Society of Manufacturing Engineers.

He leaves behind his wife of 64 years, Doris Stevens White, four children; Susan White,
John White, Darcie (Robert) McHugh, Claudette (Michael) Riek and one brother, Richard (Barbara) Purdy. He is also survived by nine grandchildren: Jason White, Joseph, Robert, Corey, and Rebecca McHugh; Joel Fonner, Leah White, Racheal White, Kimberly Riek, as well as nine great grandchildren, dear friend Doris Flagler, and many nieces and nephews and in-laws.

He is predeceased by two brothers, Charles and Raymond White and one sister, Helen Buckley Perry.

Services will be held at a later date in New York.
