A Lady Lake woman was arrested for battery after allegedly attacking her husband when he came inside from smoking a cigarette.

An officer responded to a domestic altercation between 25-year-old Jocelyn Grace Saccutell and her husband at their Lady Lake home around 10:55 p.m. Sunday, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. Her husband told police she had attacked him.

He explained that he had just come into the house after smoking a cigarette outside and went to lie in bed when Saccutell walked out of the bathroom and attacked him. He was left with multiple scratches on both sides of his neck, a scratch on his chest and a minor abrasion on his left knee, the report said.

However, Saccutell stated it was the other way around. She claimed her husband got angry because he believed she had been talking about him on the phone to a family member. She said he tried to choke her and punched her in the head, during which she fought back by scratching him and kicking him in the testicles. She added that his smoking was a trigger for her, the report said.

She did not have any visible marks around her neck or head where she claimed her husband had attacked her. She only had blood on her fingernails, the report said.

Based on this information, Saccutell was determined to be the primary aggressor. The officer subsequently handcuffed her and tried to escort her to a patrol vehicle. She stated she was not coming, planted her feet and unsuccessfully tried to stop law enforcement from putting her in a patrol vehicle, the report said.

Saccutell was arrested on charges of battery (domestic) and resisting without violence. The Illinois native was booked at the Lake County Jail with bond set at $2,000.
