
Frederick G. Hill (May 22, 1945 – February 24, 2026)
Jerry is survived by three daughters, Michelle Parker (Rick), Jennifer Melvin (Brian), and Jacqueline Gomez (Jesus); seven grandchildren, Bo, Annette, Mark, Blake, Amanda, Brock, and Elizabeth.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thayer J. and Ruth (nee Friedrich) Hill, his brother, Thayer J. (Jay) Hill, and his sister-in-law, Lynn (nee Taylor).
He was born in Aurora, IL and lived in Naperville, IL. He graduated from North Central College in Naperville and received his master’s degree from Northern Illinois University.
He served with the 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam (1970-1971), owned a restaurant in Louisiana, was a teacher, and ended his working career in insurance for 33 years.
He enjoyed tennis, golf, softball, and loved to watch most sports on TV. Most of all, he enjoyed watching his daughters in sports.
He belonged to the Vietnam Veterans Association, the 101st Airborne Association, the American Legion Post 347 of Lady Lake, FL, and was a lifetime member of both the Warrenville, IL VFW Post 8081 and the Naperville, IL VFW Post 3873.
The Celebration of Life in Florida is Saturday, March 28 at the American Legion Post 347 at 11 a.m. The celebration of life in Illinois is Friday, May 22 at the Warrenville VFW Post 8081 at 5 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to USO.org would be greatly appreciated.
