A woman previously convicted of shoplifting at the Walmart at Buffalo Ridge Plaza in The Village was arrested after an unwelcome return to the store.
Yasmeen Monique Reyes, 31, of Summerfield was spotted standing near the entrance of the store at 1 p.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

She had already been issued a trespass warning from the store on March 21, which was still active at the moment. The manager also recognized her from previous encounters. He requested she be trespassed again due to her history of attempted thefts, as well as hiding and smoking in the automotive section of the store, the report said.
Reyes was arrested on charge of trespassing upon an occupied structure or conveyance. She was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center with bond set at $3,000.
She had been arrested in April 2024 for stealing hair dye and makeup from the same Walmart. She skipped a court date and then wound up serving two months in jail in that case in 2025.
