Edward J. Burnett, 83, of Summerfield, passed away on March 29, 2026, in Summerfield.
Edward was born in New York City to Edward and Julia Burnett on November 21. 1942. He graduated from Power Memorial High School in Manhatten. He married Elizabeth Carroll on June 9, 1962, in Holy Name R.C. Church in Brooklyn. He worked for J.P. Morgan for 43 years. He enjoyed cheering on the NY Giants & NY Yankees, and traveling, especially cruises.
Edward is preceded in death by his parents.
Edward is survived by his wife Elizabeth (Betty Ann): children Edward R. (Laura), Donna Widdecombe (Michael), Kenneth, and Keith: Granddaughters Maddalena and Serafina.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on April 7, 2026, at St. Mark the Evangelist with Father Lennon officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services.
