An inspector issued a “Stop Sale” order for stroganoff and chili at a popular restaurant in The Villages.

The inspector paid a visit Monday to City Fire at Lake Sumter Landing and found the stroganoff which had been prepped on April 9 and the chili which had been prepped April 7, according to an inspection report on file with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. The items were located in a walk-in cooler at the restaurant.

In addition, the inspector found that a dish machine was not sanitizing properly. The problem was addressed on site. There was also an accumulation of a black mold substance on the interior of an ice machine.
