The female victim stated she was terrified of Lopez Lorenzo, with whom she had an argument on Friday night. It carried over into that morning until she grabbed her phone, wallet and keys to run out of the apartment. She was shaking, crying and visibly terrified of him, the report said.

She explained that Lopez Lorenzo had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, and he frequently gets very angry. She said he has become physically violent with her. During their argument, he put his right hand on her jaw and pushed her head away while she was standing still. This caused pain to the side of her jaw, the report said.

The victim added that three days prior to this, he punched her on the left side of her face near her temple, the report said.

Lopez Lorenzo was arrested on charge of battery and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. The North Carolina native was released after posting $1,500 bond.
