A resident of Oakleaf Villages Apartment Homes in Lady Lake was arrested for driving with an invalid license after an officer stopped her for speeding.
An officer running stationary radar on West Lady Lake Boulevard observed a blue passenger car approaching from the east at 12:25 p.m. Thursday, April 16, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. The driver, 26-year-old Tiara Essence Taylor, was determined to be going 45 mph in a 25-mph zone.

Seeing this, the officer stopped Taylor at American Legion Post 347, located at 699 W Lady Lake Blvd. She claimed to have left her driver’s license at home, but a check of her driving record showed it had been revoked on Nov. 24, 2025. She was also labeled as a habitual traffic offender for a 5-year term, the report said.
She had three previous guilty convictions of driving while license suspended, as well, dated Oct. 27, 2025, July 31, 2025, and Dec. 19, 2024. Her license was cancelled on Jan. 12, the report said.
Taylor was ultimately arrested on charge of driving while license revoked (habitual traffic offender). She was booked at Lake County Jail and released after posting $2,500 bond.
