A red-headed Porch Pirate has been sentenced in the theft of a package from an 81-year-old Villager’s home.
Olivia Krakowski, 47, of Ocala, pleaded no contest this past week in Sumter County Court to charges of theft and trespassing. She was sentenced to two days already served in jail and will have to pay fines and court costs of $1,300.

The Village of Collier resident reported that in December 2024 a package containing $50 worth of vitamins was stolen from the front porch of her home, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.
A witness reported seeing someone approach the porch at about 6 a.m. that day. After snaring the package, the thief also stopped at the 81-year-old’s car, opened the door and removed an item, later determined to be an eyeglass case. The witness described the thief’s vehicle as a dark-colored Toyota SUV.
Working with Community Watch, a deputy used surveillance images from a gate camera to determine the Toyota SUV belonged to a woman in Ocala. The thief was driving the Toyota SUV and entered the gate by pushing the button. The surveillance captured an image of the driver, including her distinctive red hair.
A deputy went to the vehicle owner’s home in Ocala. The deputy spoke with the owner’s daughter, later determined to be Krakowksi. She admitted she goes looking through trash to recover items “to supplement her income,” the report said. Krakowski has red hair, similar to the hair of the woman driving the Toyota SUV on the day of the theft.
