To the Editor:
Shades of Benghazi and the shame of Hunter’s laptop were the proof that Democrats were corrupt and enraged MAGA pundits. Citizens with pitchforks demanding the heads of Hillary and Hunter be rolled filled the Opinion pages across the country. Yet, the silence when the Trump family flaunts their corruption says much about the hypocrisy of MAGA. Trump meme coins, Trump Bibles, and Trump golden sneakers were just the beginning. It has been estimated that the Trump family has made over $1.4 billion dollars since Donald J. Trump became president. Recently on FOX news, Eric Trump announced the $24 million contract he received from the Pentagon. Thanks, daddy, for starting a war that his kids can benefit from.
Where is the outrage so viciously displayed at Hillary and Hunter? While you are worried about inflation, the price of gas, and the affordability of groceries, the Trump family and their cronies are enriching themselves at the public trough without a whimper from MAGA. The reins of our democracy have been turned over to the corrupt. And it is out in the open for all to see.
