President Trump’s appearance in The Villages was a dream come true for his many fans.
Bill and C.J. Barry got up early and headed to The Villages High School at Middleton with hopes of getting into the venue to see the president.

The couple of 45 years were decked out in red, white and blue for the occasion. They both cast their first ballots in 1968 for Richard Nixon.
“Trump’s the best president in my lifetime,” said C.J. Barry. “He’s a man of his word.”
Her husband concurred.
“He’s looking out for America, Number One. Instead of some special interests,” the former New Yorker said.
Rob Stout drove over from Inverness. He’s a native Floridian, but spent 16 years in the “Communist Republic of Delaware” where he served as a delegate for the National Republican Convention in 2012, 2016 and 2020.

He made the bold prediction in 2016 that Trump would win the GOP primary in Delaware by “north of 60 percent of the vote.” Campaign manager Corey Lewandowski set up a meeting with Trump and Stout got to personally make his prediction to candidate Trump. Six weeks later, Trump won the Delaware primary with 60.5 percent of the vote.

“About two hours later, I got a phone call from the campaign and they said, Mr. Trump wanted to tell me I was correct,” Stout said.
Everybody who lined up in the hot sun for several broiling hours shared similar stories.
