A man allegedly called The Properties of The Villages sales center and made profane threats in the wake of President Trump’s visit to Florida’s Friendliest Hometown.
Robert L. Martindale, 74, made his first appearance before a judge on Monday in Spokane, Wash. to answer to a felony bomb threat charge in Spokane County Superior Court.

The Spokesman Review newspaper in Spokane, Wash., reported that the sales center received 11 threatening phone calls from a number, later traced to Martindale in Spokane, in a short period Saturday morning, court records show. He used profanity, complained about Trump’s Friday visit to The Villages and made threats, the employees told authorities.
The sales center employees reported the threats to local law enforcement who relayed them to the U.S. Secret Service.
“Me and my friends are getting our semiautomatics and are coming to blow you guys up because of that scumbag Trump,” Martindale allegedly told one of the employees, according to the newspaper report.

Ironically, Trump boasted during his appearance at The Villages High School at Middleton, that he felt “safe” in The Villages. His appearance here occurred less than one week after a heavily armed man was apprehended at the Hilton hotel in Washington D.C. prior to the start of the White House Correspondents annual dinner, where Trump was seated at the head table.
