Lawrence Golding, 84, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2026, in The Villages, Florida. He was born on August 31, 1941, in Troy, New York, to Doris and Ivan Golding.

Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Ann Larsen Golding; his daughter and son-in-law, Dianna and Trey Mangelsdorf; his sister, Sally Watkins; and his brother, Dennis Golding.

Larry proudly served in the United States Navy as a Chief Petty Officer, retiring after 21 years of dedicated service in 1980. He continued his commitment to the Navy as a civilian Instructional Systems Specialist, retiring again in 2003.

Larry was a devoted husband and father, known for his analytical mindset, dry wit, and quiet sense of humor. He lived an active and curious life, with interests that included tennis, golf, computers, music, and reading. Larry’s legacy is one of service, intellect, and quiet strength—reflected in both his distinguished career and the deep devotion he showed to his family.

Larry will be laid to rest at the Florida Bushnell National Cemetery with military honors on May 6, 2026.
