A 78-year-old retiree who lives in Del Webb Spruce Creek in Summerfield has come forward to claim a lottery prize worth more than $117,000.
Shirley Jean Deptolla claimed the top prize from the Florida Lottery’s Fantasy 5 evening drawing held on Wednesday, May 6. The winning “QuickPick” ticket, which was the only top-prize winner for that specific drawing, resulted in a total payout of $117,957.17.
The ticket was sold at the Quick King Food Store #8, located at 14725 SE U.S. Hwy 441 in Summerfield. The convenience store shares the space with an Exxon Mobil gas station.

Fantasy 5 is a daily game in which players select five numbers from 1 to 36. According to the Florida Lottery, the numbers for the evening drawing on May 6 were 6, 9, 11, 17, and 31.
This latest win follows another recent local success, as a winning Fantasy 5 ticket was sold earlier this year at a Pilot Travel Center located next to The Villages.
