A male pedestrian was struck by a car and seriously injured at the Historic Side of The Villages.
He had been crossing U.S. Hwy. 27/441 at Wales Plaza at about 5 a.m. when when he was struck by a northbound vehicle, according to the Lady Lake Police Department.
He was transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center with life threatening injuries.
The female driver of the vehicle was not injured.
The investigation is ongoing.
