Dr. Gabe Mirkin will present a talk on “Lifestyle Changes to Help Prolong Life and Treat Disease” at the Brain Health Club meeting at 1 p.m. Monday, June 1 at the Colony Cottage Recreation Center. The meeting is open to everyone. You do not need to be a member and there is no charge for attending.
Dr Mirkin is a sports medicine doctor and fitness guru who hosted his own television show and a popular call-in radio show on fitness and health that was syndicated in more than 120 cities. He has written more than 30 books including The Sportsmedicine Book, the best-selling book on the subject that has been translated into many languages. He was the fitness broadcaster for CBS Radio and syndicated columnist for the New York Times. He is one of a very few doctors board-certified in four specialties: Allergy and Immunology, Pediatrics, Pediatric Immunology and retired Sports Medicine. He is Associate Clinical Professor emeritus at the Georgetown University School of Medicine. He has written a free weekly email newsletter on the latest in fitness, nutrition and health for more than forty years.
