To the Editor:

I am not sure I understood John Ebel’s Letter to the Editor, but he seemed to suggest that there is a mid-range of acceptable uses for handicapped parking, by those who have not obtained handicapped placards or license plates. He wrote, “they may drive a golf cart or a car and need a parking spot with closer proximity to where they are going.”

I strongly disagree. If you want to park in a handicapped spot, go to your doctor or the DMV and get the proper placard or license plate.  There is no middle ground here. Either you are handicapped, or you’re not.
