A reckless motorcyclist traveling at over 80 miles per hour was arrested near a 55+ community on U.S. Hwy. 27/441.
An officer conducting traffic enforcement spotted 30-year-old Jarett Young of Ocklawaha riding a white motorcycle too closely behind another vehicle at 4:05 p.m. Tuesday, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. He then passed between two vehicles and accelerated rapidly.

As the officer pulled out to follow, he saw the motorcycle traveling over 80 mph in a 50-mph zone. Young made several unsafe lane changes, followed too closely and passed between multiple vehicles during this time. This forced the other vehicles to swerve or hit their brakes, the report said.
After being stopped near the Water Oak 55+ community, he was arrested for reckless driving. The Alaska native was booked at Lake County Jail and released after posting $500 bond.
