A Villager has been put on notice over the sad state of his property.
The home of Milan Kapel at 3074 Brine Way in the Village of Pine Ridge was the subject of a deed compliance hearing Monday at the Brownwood District Office.
A complaint was received Jan. 1 regarding dead grass and overgrown shrubbery at the home. Community Standards sent notices to the homeowner, and the property was brought back into compliance later that same month.

Another complaint was received May 20 regarding overgrown shrubs, dead grass and landscaping debris. The overgrown shrubs were considered a “re-occurring violation.” There are also bushes growing into the eaves of the home.

Community Standards has since been unable to contact the homeowner. Phone numbers that had been on file are no longer in service, and an email address is now “undeliverable.”
The special master overseeing the hearing granted seven days for the property to be brought back into compliance. If the homeowner fails to do so, the District will perform maintenance at the property at a cost of $150 per hour. A $100 administrative fee will also be assessed against the property.
